Having been raised in a Christian family, there hasn’t been a time in my life where I wasn’t learning about God through the Bible and through the people around me. I properly decided to make my own the faith that had been shown to me by others when I was 11 years old. From here, God has carried me through various struggles and trials and taught me to cling to him through it all. Still today, I see all the ways that he is watching over me and looking out for me in the little not-so-obvious ways, as well as the obvious ways. There is no way I’d be who I am today without God and I am forever grateful for all the things he did for me and all the things he is still doing.
I attend St Clements Anglican Church in Kingston and am studying my Bachelor’s degree in Marine and Antarctic Science. I enjoy being outdoors—there’s always a good chance of finding me at the beach or climbing a tree somewhere. Where I’m from, I have seen the huge impact AFES has on uni students and I think it's an awesome community to be a part of, especially if you move away from home. I am very excited to be serving in the secretary role and I am excited to see how God will grow me through this.
